P005→ Steel Through typeface



I created this typeface ‘Steel Through’ based on the arched windows seen throughout Kelham Island in Sheffield. The structure of these caught my eye after being on nearly every building. Using the window frames I developed a grid and began designing each letter from there. 


 

Using the grid I compiled a range of shapes and strokes to develop my typeface.
